On failing to launch..

Hi friends,

At this point my inconsistency on this site is becoming consistent. Truth is, I have been in a funk with work, my mental health as needed some attention and I have been pretty pre-occupied with figuring out what being a yoga teacher will look like for me.

I finished my course in May - I am fully certified but imposter syndrome kicked my ass and I can only describe myself as being in a little big of a failure to launch era.. 🫠

What I am learning is, that post-covid people want IRL classes.. which I 100% get. I personally love the convenience of an online class but I don’t have a typical work pattern and so, being able to roll out my mat whenever the mood strikes me, is not always accessible to everyone. I am also hitting a bit of a block - as most studios need a good few years of teaching experience - and while I have 23 years of movement experience, I am new the world of yoga teaching and honestly, I am a little afraid of the response I will get from studios - so of course, the only logical thing to do would be put my head in the sand and not send the emails right?! 😅

I promise you, I am going to get on it. I have many insecurities but one thing I feel pretty confident in, is leading a class safely and creating something wonderful for people. I have some time off in August, so my promise to myself is to make a short list of the dream studios and locations I would like to call my yoga home and make contact. My hope is that I will have an IRL space by September! Watch this space!

In the meantime, I am determined to find an online time that works for some lovely humans, so I am testing out Friday 1pm, starting this Friday. I would love it if you can make it.
